There is a remarkable range of color and grain pattern in wood, even within the same species. Craig searches for just the right woods to capture the essence of an image. He uses only the natural color of wood. Wood used in this art piece: holly, ebony, sycamore, shedua, reclaimed rosewood and the background wood is curly maple. Finish: shellac and beeswax polish.
